I make this Chocolate Protein Smoothie every morning after yoga with the family. It is such a treat and secretly very healthy and fully vegan. I don’t mind it a bit that the whole family – big and small – are having their greens ticked off at breakfast!
This breakfast smoothie is so delicious. It is chocolatey, has a lot of protein, no added sugar, vegan and is a wonderful start of the day. You can use a small banana or half of a large banana. In summer you can add an ice cube or two and reduce the water to half a cup to make it extra chilled. It is healthy and filling and you do not even taste the spinach.

- Almonds are an excellent source of protein and minerals especially for vegetarians and vegans, their high fiber content makes them ideal for solving constipation. Its oil is beneficial externally for the skin and so is almond butter and milk. Almonds are good for the brain and offer a quick satisfaction.
- Bananas are an excellent choice for short and long term energy. Besides that, bananas are good for the bones, kidneys, blood pressure. Bananas help to maintain a healthy heart and strong nervous system.
- Cacao is a great antioxidant and is well-known for improving and elevating mood. Furthermore cacao is said to be good for the heart and as an anti-aging agent.
- Spinach is beneficial for the skin. It also is high in anti-oxidants and helps strengthen the nervous system.
